English Skill Enhancement Workshop |

| The aim of this workshop conducted in the month of December 2016, was to help the students at both the centres – Bapa Nagar and Ranjit Nagar; in increasing their English knowledge and related skill set. Various activities were conducted by the trainers of Swashrit Society, to help the students imbibe this knowledge. First, an ice-breaking session was conducted where the children were asked to introduce themselves (their hobbies, their likes-dislikes, their favourite sports etc.) in English. The second activity involved the children telling a few interesting stories of their choice in English. They were encouraged by the trainers constantly to even act out the stories, if they liked. They were allowed and encouraged to take help from others if they fumbled, in the same, at any point. The next activity involved jumbled sentences that had to be reconstructed and then have their meanings explained. Lastly, the children were provided with short texts to be read out loud and be helped with the pronunciations from others and the trainers as well. |
