Swashrit Society has partnered with Ullhas Foundation to support its initiative of helping children with special needs. Ullhas Foundation’s Ekuk Project is being powered by Swashrit Society so that a large number of children with special needs can be provided with the right kind of support for their growth and development.
The Ekuk Project aims towards accomplishing a variety of objectives to help these children. It is a step towards enabling children with special needs to showcase their talent, nurture their talent and providing a platform to children from all schools of Delhi NCR to display their talent. It also aims to create awareness in the society about a range of pertinent topics such Swach Bharat, Girl Child Education, Female Foeticide, Drug abuse, Sanitation etc.
The Ekuk Event is divided into four segments with each segment accomplishing a certain objective.
- Segment A is targeted towards approximately 220 schools in Delhi NCR catering to children with special needs.
- Segment B is targeted towards the mainstream schools in Delhi NCR.
- Segment C aims towards awareness and diagnosis workshops relating to hearing, speech and language impairment.
- Segment D will be a grand finale for the joint performances of mainstream children along with children with special needs who have been nurtured, trained and prepared during the earlier segments.
